Seems like outfits like that just have in their head they are going to have death losses and accept it. They seem to get too comfortable with dragging dead ones out to change their ways. I dont understand that either.
Agreed, I know it feels a lot worse to drag a dead one out when it's your animal, that's for sure. On those big outfits where there are lots of employees, dragging dead ones is just one of the tasks they do every day, along with scraping, mixing feed, giving shots, etc. Then they punchout and go home. I bet if the owner was more involved it would be a little different. |
