whitesville new york
Well here are the numbers I am looking at.
Right now feeding complete mix 17% protien at 400-420$ per ton feeding 12lbs

Hmsc cost
Looks like 150$per ton standing in field
9-15$ per ton for combining. 28$ per acre plus fuel
Trucking probably atleast 1$ per ton. I'd have to rent a couple trucks
I'd have to check yet but bagger with roller mill on it is 15-20$ per ton guessing.
If we use th high end it would be 186$ per ton bagged.

Current nutritionist thought 600$ per ton for 33% protein supplement yesterday. Still haven't heard from him this morning

Nutritionist I get my milk replacer from said 550$ per ton for 36% protien supplement.

The numbers we used yesterday were 6 lbs corn and 6lbs supplement. At 600$ supplement it would cost thr same and ant 550$ supplement it would save .15$ per cow per day. Nutritionist A is going to plug everything into the computer to make sure we are close. Just trying to see if it would be worth the extra work/risk to buy it. And the other factor are the cows going to milk better or increase in componets?
