If your using a bull he'll know when to breed them, if your going to AI most use timed breeding but some do watch for natural heat witch is not hard in a beef herd. However some dairy cows will never show physical signs of heat even though someone see's them 2-3 times a day its very hard to tell when to breed them. I think these "hard breeders" is what your doohickey was designed for.
