Out here everyone that uses a pull type has a dump wagon behind, been that way for as long as I can remember. Most pull types here are 3960 JD's with Richardton dump wagons behind them. I was planting wheat yesterday in SD and the guy next to me was chopping corn, it was 3 feet tall no ears and had been droughted out for over a month, no green to it. They were running a 25 MacDon draper swather and picking it up, I would imagine they are feeding it to just weaned beef calves but I've never seen anything chopped that dry.
