whitesville new york | my neighbor has about 70 tons hmsc standing in the field he didn't need. Dad and I worked the numbers tonight and if we get it in a bag for about 180$ per ton (30%moisture) it would only save us 100$ per cow on grain in a year. Does this sound about right? Corn meal delivered is in the 350-380$ per ton. We are figuring only feeding 6lbs per cow per day right know, because it is what we are feeding right now. Will we gain any milk also? Nutritionist is going to run some numbers on his computer and call me in the morning. Just wonder what your guys thought were. | |
