south central IOWA | You're looking at it a little in the wrong way. It's not to help them get bred this year it's to help keep that condition on them for next year. Easier to keep the condition on then try to replenish it, especially during the wintertime. Therefore it's for the future and not the present. It's probably just a small advantage for creeping in the grand scheme of things but none the less part of the argument.
