Baldwin City, KS | Just got the check for a cow that I sold Monday. Brought $10 per hundred. Cow was getting to be on the thin and shelly side along with moving alot slower (hence the trip to salebarn). However she was still getting up and crossing a 90 acre pasture for silage. She was a mid framed sim angus cow and weighed 980 after getting thin. I have sold a cow or two that I thought looked like walking death, in the last year or two that at least brought 45 cents. Seems like anything that will unload would bring at least 30. Just thought 10 cents sounded awful cheap. Guess I should be thankful she sold. | |
