I only migrated 30 miles north of where I grew up. Moved here because of better land, more crops and less livestock and tobacco in those days.

Heinrich Winckel made the big plunge in the 1700's to Harrisonburg Va area and his boys migrated through Tennessee to Highland County Ohio just south of me where my clan has stayed ever since.

I was offered a job near Champaign Illinois in the 70's and wanted to move there in the worst way but wife would not go.

Bid on land in SE Iowa 10 years ago but never got it so guess we are here for good.
