South Texas | Thanks so much for the nice comments. The green stuff just came up in that couple of weeks. We have had 4 inches in that 2 months. First rains we have had....having a hard time down here. The first steer is a American Maine/gert cross. He is the half brother to the one she showed last year. The smoke steer is a charlois/cross steer, so is the last one. Sadly this year we did not raise any of these. Have one picked for next year from our herd. They are also showing heifers that the kids raised will try to post some of them. I love reading everying posts and looking at some of the good looking cattle poeple have posted on here. I am prouid to say that the kids really work on their showmanship skills. Our county is one of the only ones around here that has an overall showmanship contest. Sr. only they have to show one of every speices shown at our fair. It's a great thing to watch. Sadly this my son's SR. year. Thanks again. | |
