Subject: RE: Where do you live, and why?

West Texas

Daddy was a hired hand working on a ranch for the first few years of my life, He moved to town and got a job at the MM tractor house when I was about 6. So I was actually a town kid. I always looked for something that was just over the hill. As such I changed jobs frequently and moved often. I had the priviledge of living in 9 different states and close to 50 different towns. As I neared retirement, I doubled down on the little I owed  and got that out of the way. Purchased this 1/4 in 96 because my daughter lived nearby and this would put me closer to my grandkids (she moved to AZ about 3 years later) and finally left my day job in 05. Keep a few cows just to have something to do.  This old sand farm does a pretty good job on wheat and it doesn't take too much time for that. No longer combine any of it, just graze it or bale it.Oh, yea, I do live about 50 miles from where I was raised and have entertained the idea of moving back there but no way do I want to move into town with a 50' X 100' lot.
