I've got a similar problem, the corn field I just shelled, planning to put the cows on the stalks and water them from the crick that runs near one corner, has no other source of water and the crick is not flowing nearly enough for even my small herd. I wondered about a big poly tank on a hay wagon and setting a trough up in the field, but not sure about freezing temps and how that would treat the poly.
