Northeast Louisiana | The mountain of paperwork you must sign now is due to the federal government's excessive oversight and regulation of the banking industry. They created the monster that led to the mortgage meltdown and then, in typical Washington knee-jerk fashion, decided the problems were due to a lack of oversight. Our little bank has several employees whose sole responsibility is to make sure the i's are dotted and t's are crossed, and its virtually impossible to stay abreast of what all is required. If your loan officer doesn't seem as easy to deal with as he did years ago, don't take it personally. It's just another example of the federal government screwing up a good thing. | |
