onida, south dakota | coup - 9/30/2012 21:17 That chart is wrong. I sold wheat on HTA with Chicago wheat back in 2008 for $13.35. Corn was more than $2.50 bu less than wheat price .
the chart is right..........maybe i didn't explain it very good
it isn't a price spread chart..........it is wheat percentage of corn...............wheat was a huge premium over corn in 2008...........but it only got to be about 2.5 times the price of corn........(monthly close basis nearby months)
as example in March of 2008; wheat got up to 13-14.00 ish............corn was a hair under 6.00...................spread of 7.00-8.00.........but wheat just a hair over 2 times the price of corn
