EC Indiana | It depends on the year of the 62 and the 65. A late 62 and an early 65 are similar. but a 98 62 and an 08 65 have alot of differences.
There are many updates that, by themself, do not seem like much, but added all together make a much better machine. But, many of the 62s and early 65s may have been modified (hyperized) to be more like a late 65. Or even better for than matter.

65 has new cab
optional 14" Unload auger,
Later 65s have Sisu (AGCO) engine
CDF Rotor
lowered feed floor,
upgraded feed chain
many more, the closer in age they get to the S series.
The biggest difference between a late 62 and an early 65 will be the cab and a little hp. As far as capacity, there is alot of hidden capacity in both machines if they are still factory stock. There are many modified 62s that will easily outperform stock early 65s.
What you are probably really asking is, how much more is it worth to buy an early 65 vs a late 62. Side by side, all things equal, (options, history, location, condition, hours, appearance, etc) maybe $10-20k. | |
