onida, south dakota | keep in mind wheat is a little different then corn............it can be grown virtually everywhere...........if we do see a spike..........it will fix it self before we know it............
i thought i was bullish as i have thought wheat could trade between 10-12.00.........maybe slightly higher for spring wheat...........but 20........or 25......or 30.00................all i can say is wow...........and mention that so far today.........i don't think we have seen any demand............just speculation that we will get some...........until demand happens..........10.00 won't moreless 20.00-$30.00 a bushel...................i had some stuff on the spot floor on friday and know of other stuff on the spot and it was just bid sloppy...............both HRW and some spring wheat...........part of that might be due to the start of the month coming and ideas that end users will get plenty of application to start the month...........but still we just don't have much for export-domestic competition to speak of................. i do like the fact that Friday's report indicates that we fed more wheat the last quarter then we have in a long time
it would take super demand.............super strong outside markets and another squeze to see something like the above prediction...........never say never.............but don't be the farm on it either..................... | |
