West Texas | Gene,
The rain did more good than harm. I'm sure well lose some pounds and quality but we need the rain. I took a few pictures. The first picture is my gauge at the barn it had 5.9". The second is at the gin it had 7.3". The 3rd and 4th are pictures of the alfalfa I planted last week behind dad's house on the side of hill. Surprisingly it didn't wash. Luckily the rain came over 36 hours so it was a pretty good soaking rain without any washing. It did cover a good bit of area. Sterling City area had 8.5", San Angelo had 7.0", and west of Colorado City had 9+". Talked to the guy that picks for us in south Texas and he said it was raining down there so I suspect the hill country will also get a good rain to maybe fill the lakes up.
