up here some put it on the combine and heads so when they are in getting serviced, the mechanics knows whose combine/head to grab.. maybe you area is different but here during busy season can be multiple of the same machines at dealer.. sometimes multiple machines even from one owner.. local dealer accidently sold a customers head that was supposed to be in for service, guess a little sticker or lettering could have saved some headaches...
