Central Illinois | going on between your brain and body. So far, my body hurts long before I think it should, but I am listening to it. It does get a bit frustrated, but after having fought heart problems the last nine years, I don't take things as "serious" as I used to. There is a tomorrow, nothing has to be done today. And I used to be in the camp that didn't believe that.
I remember a Bill Cosby routine from thirty or forty years ago. He was telling about a class reunion from his Temple days, and how some of the guys that played basketball got to reminiscing about those days. Somebody found a basketball, so they decided to play a little hoops. After picking teams and warming up, they started playing a game. Soon enough, the ball came to Cosby, and he said that amazingly, his brain instantly said, fake right, drive left, and lay the ball up and off of the backboard. Just as quickly, he said, his body replied, who, me? | |
