Well I am not surprised that you do not know but as i indicated most Canadians that were alive then know.

Many (Canadians anyway) consider it THE best hockey game.
Last one of a series and it came down to the last seconds of the last game and 1 goal scored to win it for the Canadians.
Canadian NHL players, 'professionals' playing against Russian 'amateurs'.
First 4 games in Canada left all of Canada in shock.
Next 4 games in Russia were nail biters.

Interesting quote from one of the original Canadian team members today.
Something along the line of 'that game brought down Russia and ended the cold war. They just never got over the loss and eventually the country collapsed'
Wonder what would have happened if Canada had not won it?
