| From my personal experience with Good for a Year tires, you couldn't pay me enough to put Goodyears on anything. I've had bad luck with both Goodyear tractor and car tires. Goodyear Invicta were the most expensive tires I ever had on a car and by far the most worthless. $100 apiece back when el cheapo tires were $50 and they were in fact worse tires. Didn't get 20000 miles on them on gravel.
Had my 1978 Impala in to the big city tire/muffler shop this summer for exhaust work. Asked them about tires, specifically what they considered the best bang for the buck. They recommended Kumho Solus KR21 tires. I bought 215 75R-15 for $86 each. I thought that was a reasonable price for a 80K rated tire. I paid $100 a year ago for a 215 75R-14 locally.
Google online reviews and you will find both extremely positive and extremely negative feedback. Don't have 1000 miles on them yet and only dry pavement driving along with the 3 miles of my gravel driveway so I can't yet make an intelligent judgement pro or con. I hope these tires will get my Impala from 135K to 200K but I will be happy if they make 175K.
