NWMO
Our 20" planter was cheaper than 15"/30" spliter. Beans are a nice fit and harvest easy as 15's, both way better than 30's. Canopy has been good enough to get by one pass, no way on 30's. Corn yeilds have been better on thiner ground. Good ground, good weather not much differance. Repairs? More rows on corn head yes, but less rows on planter. Wash. Paid less for 20"corn head than the 30" next to it. Costs new yes, 20's cost more, but used cheaper. Costs to plant is where everyone gets it wrong. Plant 20's & 30's same poplation no cost diffrence? But 20's wil equal or beat 30's 99% if not a 100% of the time in corn. Also we feel there is less harvest loss in 20's. They do require good managment skills to achive good results.
