From what I understand----From 25% moisture and down the Aflatoxin will really get worse. Dry it very hot and fast to stop the progression, down to 13-14%, and cool asap.

But--the sample they tested was used and that grain is gone. Next sample of the same truck load may very well be different!

And Yes, the damaged kernals from insects, is where I am finding aspergillus mold. That doesn't mean the corn has aflotoxin, but everyone around me does, so I assume I'm not special.

SUPPOSE. Those infected kernal parts, after the grain is dried correctly to 13%, and then it is cleaned to remove the fines. Hoping the fines of the cleaning process have the affected kernals in it, reduces the toxin level of the stored grain.

Just had me thinking about it.
