southern MN | I've been tiling for 4 years, and I have a very small farm..... Best place to tuck cash is on improvements that (so far) are not taxed and have practically no future expenses and will show a return every year for the next 50 years. Pretty much a no-brainer.
Build up a little income as you say keeping taxes low but there on some cash gains, and then can buy the almost new equipment from the fire sales in a few years when the farm ecconomy crashes....
If that all was your point, sounds right to me.
