Central Mo | If you were young, looking to start farming how would you do it in todays competitive world. Had experience from everywhere from running equipment, was very knowledgable in crop inputs and what it takes from start to finish. Family didnt have enough to let you into the operation and just helped your "future father in law" . My cousin and i had a very good talk this morning, he had been working for a precision company ( and selling a seed as a dealer). He has been searching for ways to get in and it made me wonder, how would i do it if i hadnt been born into a operation. He has started by renting 40 acres and borrowing equipment from us. But if i were that age again i dont know how i would find the financial resources to make it happen. | |
