Tillsonburg Ont
We have been doing VRT with calcium nitrate on tobacco.WE go in with the green seeker and set the zones based on colour and NDVI readings of the high and lows of the crop. Then we establish the ga/ac to each area. You can see the results quickly in the leaves. You can see the field even out in colour on the hills and valleys. With some fields we have been though 3-4 times with different chemical applications and you can watch the maps change.alot of these filds have been Veris carted for EC and the growing map from the greenseeker will lay right over the EC map done last fall with the veris cart.VRT works but it is learning curve for all to know what can be accomplished.
