Pretty sure lawyers had way more to do with deere keeping their rotor in the shed than engineers.
I agree though, that green combines can run some pretty green looking crap through. There have been years we've harvested almost all our wheat at 18% or higher, and a few years ago we took 2/3's of the soybeans off at that moisture. 9770's. Not saying it didn't growl a bit on the way through. The worst part has always been getting it to flow out of the hopper.
That's not to say the newer case's with the AFX rotor probably can't do the same thing. I have no knowledge of that, and would only assume that they can. As an added bonus, at least you can reverse the rotor on a case. |
