| The design of the rotor tells you why samples in rough threshing conditions would be less than stellar. JD uses a "small tube" rotor to give more open space in rotor area. They also use "rice spikes" aka threshing tines, in the grate area. Once again, these use less horsepower, and tend to break up the crop mat. They also don't do as good a job at separation. No doubt, the greene rotors can put a lot of material through, but there are some definite tradeoffs. | |
