SO, the width is standard size, but the height is over seven feet. Did there used to be a rough in size that incorporated a taller height? This is a very old door.
Don't know about the old rough (RO) in size . . . but, it's not off that much for todays STANDARD opening/doors. Today, it'd simply be furred out to make the standard rule, 2inches wider and 2½ inches higher then the door . . .. . 36 inch wide door is 38 in RO width.
The RO height would be 82½ to be 2½ taller . . . . .
So really, you are not too tall, just have to fur in the 4 inchs (which is easy, but finishing the sideing/outside looks can be more challenging) . . . . . .
