I don't have any experience with green soybeans, but I've ran my share of kochia, Russian thistle, and bindweed, through Axial-Flow combines. You need to get that mess shoved through the machine as quickly as possible, otherwise it hangs up and starts to cause problems.
I don't know what Deeres your neighbors are running, but you're probably looking at a significant difference in horsepower between them and your XX66. That, along with a heavier rotor (more centrifugal force) and a drive system designed to handle a higher load, gives the machine the ability to kick slugs out before they have a chance to plug things up.
