 Leesburg, Ohio | Higher corn prices has nothing (or very little) to do here with herd liquidation. The problem is severe hay shortage from summer drought. And it sounds like the hay shortage gets worse as you go south (KY, TN).
Of course the media and everyone else has picked up on big oil's mis-information campaign of blaming the higher costs of everything on us evil corn farmers and ethanol producers. So I can understand why some might think it's due to corn...if something is said often enough, pretty soon it sounds like it might be true. | |
