| That is a good point- how much protein does it really have? I will send a sample off and see.
I am not sure what the stocking rates on my fields. We bought this herd in the middle of the summer and were not intended on doing this at this point, just a good deal. I am starting to re-fence and starting to improve crop land into grass. This spring there will be a lot of fertilizer and weed poisoning and mowing. We have about 50 -60 acres they will access to when the fencing and then another 20 once grass starts to grow. It will be along process but this is the home place so it will not be sold or rented out from under me - unless the gas drilling people want an acre or so and that would be even better.
I have been to the Waco event in the past and it is great but always on the row crop side. Not sure what the work schedule will be in January.
