Subject: RE: ADM & Aflatoxin

The discounts you refer to are the exact same discounts that the crop insurance industry uses. Be thankful that ADM will at least obtain and hold a sample of infected corn for your crop adjuster to pick up to have a lab test done. There is another large three letter grain company in a very near geographic area to you that refuses to obtain and hold samples for crop insurance. They have even said that crop adjusters may not take samples from trucks that are parked on there property.

Trying to help their customers? I think not. Without that lab test crop insurance can not pay for the affected grain. Many fields are being held by just one truck this year, so some of these fields are completely harvested before the insured knows he has aflatoxin in his corn.

As far as the blending, 300ppb aflatoxin corn is not to enter the food supply.
