North west MN | That is the way I looked at it if I can lock in a profit and the price goes up I still have a profit. Until now my greedy neighbor try's to steal my rented ground that I already have fertilized and have sold some new crop on and I have farmed this piece for 10 years. He offers 40% more than I was paying and I can't really get out of my new crop contracts that I am behind on or pick up the fert that I spread last fall so I have to pay up. And now my cost of production changes from when I contracted! Makes me not want to sell grain until I have it in the bin. Checked on seed and they want $14 a bushel and say it is going up. | |
