| Projects are worth just what you paid for them. "They" also predicted the sea would be washing over coastal cities by now. Keep in mind to make projections, you have to make assumptions about what the variables are going to do. Often, to make it more sensational, the 'prophet' will use some extreme rates and assume it just keeps going that way. It would be like saying since we had a drought this year, we will have a drought every year. This is an old story anyway - remember the book "the population bomb" - in the 70's. Will the population increase - I'm not sure, but it won't likely be as extreme as some are making it out to be.
No doubt the stratfor guy is probably not saying anything constructive. The solution to problems isn't to ignore them either. | |
