Newfane NY | Well after much talking and listening,me, we sold 35% of our 08 corn based on 3 years acerage and 5 year farn average. $4.00 at the farm for Oct. 1 to Dec 31 del to the alcohol plant. Trucker said he will commit to 20 cent fee.
Did some quick costs and we will be great if we make over our 5 year average.
So now our new grain system is down to a big dryer and a auger to get it into a 45,000 bu bin already on the new site. This should allow us to self finnace just the dryer for this year.
As a side note, the plant told me the first unit train is due in sometime this week. They have 24 hours to unload 100 cars. I may have to take a trip to see that.
