| We have had business band radios for years. We live on top of a small hill where the base is. We farm about 15 miles from home at the farthest and can always talk that far to the base and most of the time mobile ot mobile also. We have talked home to the base as far as 30 miles before. Don't know much about repeaters but we certainly don't need one We just found out that 9 of our radios can't be narrow banded, and we are still going to buy new radios because they are so much faster than phones. Just finished filing the narrow banding change on the license today, what a pain. | |
