Still too many unknowns. Trunked repeaters charges are pricey, community repeaters can be highm or reasonable. If you are going UHF, a repeater is pretty much a must. If VHF, repeaters are not an option, but distances are greater. We have our own repeaters, and other than the servicing of them, and antenna replacement (keep extra on hand), that's the only way to go. Unless you have a very large coverage area and need to go with a trunked system.
