Jackson County, AL | We used to use business band on a shared repeater with other businesses. With cell phones, it didn't seem to be worth it anymore and now I know we'll never pay to change over to the new ones required by law. We were on with another farmer, a wrecker service, an A/C repair service, and an LP gas company. The other farmer and the wrecker service were fine, they used it for business conversation only and didn't hog the repeater. The A/C and propane guys were constantly on it, talking about personal stuff, what to charge so and so, and would commonly talk over you or break in the middle of your conversation. We had the option to monitor or not but most of the time we were forced to monitor just to make sure that when you needed to talk you weren't on top of somebody. | |
