SW MN | I have 40 watt UHF radios and have no trouble getting 15-20 miles out. The radio in the house is a mobile with a power supply and the antenna is on top of a two story house. Get your lisence and freq then try the discount radio sales companies they give a pretty good discount for several radios. Try your own system and if you have trouble getting reception you can always sign on with a repeater service later, but I bet you will be happy with your own system. | |
