Can I suggest an addition since its something we do on the start of sweep operation. We "extend" the center anchor hole about 18" or so higher(pipe with rod in the bottom---- no grate-----yet). That way the sweep doesn't bury the motor as bad on intial startup when grain is covering the flighting part. Some bins with slow horizontals we leave it in for a full round. Looks like that would work good on top of your grate. Be able to stick the sweep anchor pin in your grate without fighting all the grain at first. | |
