We've been putting up sucker rod, 3 or 3 1/2 " pipe posts on 8' centers, went to some used 6" for the gate posts. Using 2 3/8" for top rail and 7/8 sucker rod. A little spendy but solid. That's mainly working and crowding areas. My one feedlot is steel T posts every 20' and 4 runs of high tensile. Not good to wean in, but fine after that.
