Huntley Montana | I think the trade is starting to figgure out there is a problem with supply. I'd bet 90%& of the wheat is out of FARMERS hands already. Now they have to shake loose the other 10%, & those FARMERS are in NO hurry. You might see a drop after Jan 1 for a little while, but my bet is March is going to get "interesting".
Also they are going to try to keep the spring wheat acres up as high as possible.
Malt Barley is also trying to buy acres in ND/MT, as they are REAL short of supplys. I'm seeing $13.50 cwt offers already with "act of God" clauses. I like the contract I have on 800 acres, may bump it to 1200 acres. | |
