| It does not play very well with corn stubbles i think. This field was a rye field so there were not much problem whit residus but i did chisel plow on the side or edges of the field and when i was trying to level it with long hay it was not working very well. Around here some guys are using it after plowing but most have a secondary tool before it. It is not made to level the field as much as to prepared a seed bed. When you cary it with a full load of dirt you need extra power and a lot of weight on the front of the tractor. I was taking care of not loading it to much and thats why i did pass many time in the field. This unit was a 44' long one. I don't know how much it cost. I am not sure but maibe i have heard something between 10 and 15 K | |
