| My quest for good ccokware started out with wanting an open roaster with a good heavy rack inside....cheap ones weren't cutting it.... Finally decided on an All-Clad D5 one I found online at Williams Sonoma. Every year I ask for a new piece for Christmas. It is pretty pricey, but it is heavy duty and doesn't stick as bad as cheap SS pans. Pieces do go on sale occassionally. I also have some Anolon non-stick (don't think the are technically teflon) pans that are good...have heavy bottoms. For skillets I usually buy teflon ones and replace ever 3-4 years. If you have a glass top stove you will want pans that have heavy bottoms so they sit flat...don't warp...to maintain good contact with the stove top. Bon Apetite!
Personally I appreciate getting something I really want for a present.....beats the heck out of new tires for the 2 T....new disk.....gravity wagon. The XMark zero turn mower was the best investment....cut my mowing time by a third. | |
