Kaukauna WI
Where you can grow corn, nowadays, since ethanol, you cash crop. I saw maybe 3 hay fields all the way from Monroe to where I live in the Happy Valley. I say where there is no hay, there are no cows. I didn't get off of 151 today, but some days I take 26 to my daughter's in Johnson Creek, and not many dairy farms on that road, either. Dane County does have some cows, I just don't know where they are. South of Madison there are some dairy farms on PB, but none look very big. I drove through the hinterlands of Richland Center a few weeks ago, up and down the hills, & saw very few dairy farms. Also saw very few dairy farms along 73 from Columbus to almost the Mississippi.

Less and less small (under 1,000) dairies in the southern half of Wi every year.

After this year, there will be even less.

Did the dairy ever get the go-ahead?
