Kaukauna WI | In our valley, in a fifteen mile radius, I bet we have 40,000 cows. I bet that is on the low side. And there is Lake Winnebago on one side of the radius where there are no cows, LOL. I know Calumet County has at least 45,000 cows, more than it has people. I wonder if anybody really knows how many cows are in northern Calumet County, western Manitowoc county and southern Brown County. We live in the epicenter of dairying in the state of WI.
2,000 cows is absolutely nothing. Nothing. Two brothers have 2,000 cows on one farm a mile away.
How is your forage situation down there, dairyman?
