My wife (27) would like to have her's removed but her doctor won't. She should have had them removed when she was younger but when the doctor said "One more case of strep throat and we'll take them out" Her mother quit taking her to the doctor for sore throats. Unfortunately now her tonsils swell up and she has uncontrollable coughing fits.
