Sac & Story county IA | Not much. They were a 3 row 30 inch head with stuff flowing into a flywheel chopper and out the spout. 318 horsepower on 2 of them, 903 Cummins in another one. Cab was just a tin box with windows. 6 mph hydro full forward. The guy that drove the one I hauled from was a classmate and buddy at school. He would be out kicking stuff into the head. I thought for sure he would get pulled in and just be a red spot in the wagon. I don't know if these units were production or not. The owner was James R. Hoffa's brother in law and plenty "connected" around Detroit. | |
