Missouri
Have given this lots of thought and at this time unable to circle the wagons as to the effects. One must remember this is a multi year problem already, 2011 southern drought was bad. Several will say more than one. Factor that this years drought is affecting much more than just corn and beans. Western drought does not get much press. Toss in politics, grazing of BLM problems for years. Vegiterian push from government ect. Food vs Fuel. Export of protien to improving economies. We are in a real transition of the livestock industry. 7 cent market hogs took about 6 mths to remove pork production from individuals to corporate. It has been said and is true, we are eating the factory. Selling off of the American cow herd has been going on for several years. How it comes back and what it looks like will be interesting. Saw first article on World Wide Drought this week and water usage. Easy to forget that other countries can produce ground beef from grass only. It can be imported very easy. High quality takes corn, least as we know it today. This book is just getting a good start.
