NE IL | The idea that farmers are simply going to keep growing cheap corn if the RFS is eliminated is flawed. You'll have more beans, wheat and marginal ground will go idle. Livestock producers may think that will be the case, but when farmers respond with 85 million acres, it will be back to the races again.....and there will be an exponential amount of damage should another drought of the same caliber strike again. If you think prices are high now....let's see what happens if we have a 33% reduction in the corn crop with 12 million less acres.
As for your point on soybeans, I think the initial reaction is lower bean prices an more expected acres.......
